In case you’re not familiar with Oscar Isaac‘s name, let me give you a quick rundown: he is about to become Hollywood’s most valuable player.
And with good reason. He’s crazy talented, crazy handsome and just a genuinely awesome guy. All of that is on display in the April issue of Details magazine.

I mean, do you see how pretty he looks on that cover? The entire interview with Oscar is worth the read, but let me just give you a few highlights.
His uncle is a huge Star Wars fans, and since Oscar is starring in Episode VII, he got his uncle in the movie, “My uncle was a huge fan. He had cards, toys—he still has a huge gallery where he has all his figures. He almost fainted when I told him that I was cast.” His uncle “made shirts that said ESTAR GUARS, EPISODE VII. I gave them to everybody and told J.J. Abrams, who was like, ‘Does he wanna be in the movie?’ He’s an extra in a scene with me. How amazing is that?” Pretty much the best thing ever.

He wasn’t a bad boy in high school–that came later. “I wasn’t totally straight-edge, ’cause I ate meat. But no drugs, no alcohol, no sex—all that stuff. In a way, it became more of a badge of individuality. I was the guy that didn’t do that. After about 18, things started shedding pretty quickly. Yeah, all of that’s been shed.”

Oh, and you can compare him to Al Pacino, but he doesn’t buy it. “The fact that I would even be mentioned in the same breath as Pacino, and particularly his performances in The Godfather and Dog Day Afternoon, is insane. I take it all with a grain of salt. People talk a lot of shit.”

Sir, you are a young Pacino and I cannot wait to see where your career takes you.
And make sure you see his new movie coming out on April 10, Ex Machina. Cause it looks crazy and amazing.
