Penelope Cruz looked absolutely stunning in a beaded Marchesa gown today, as she walked the red carpet with Johnny Depp at the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, during the 64th Cannes Film Festival.

Looking that flawless, you’d think the last thing on her mind would be plastic surgery, and you’re right! During an appearance at the film festival, Cruz revealed:

“Birthdays are always something to celebrate. I’m looking forward to every step of the way. Maybe it’s because I’m from Spain, so I look at it in a different way than in a place like Los Angeles.”

Cruz continued, “I will always be a Spanish actress in Hollywood or wherever I work. There are a lot of things I keep from my roots and that is one of them – the way we look at ageing. I never want to be afraid of that. Change is good.”

Penelope found out that she was pregnant with her first child, Leo, just as filming began on Pirates, so director Rob Marshall hired her equally stunning sister as a stunt double.

Depp also expressed that he can’t wait to get started on a fifth film, stating that there is much more fun to be had with Captain Jack Sparrow who is famously based on rockstar Keith Richards.

Keith has a cameo in this film and Johnny said of the experience, “It was great having him and he was amazing to share a trailer with. I may write a book about that one day.”
