The Pentagon has issued a sharp rebuke of Netflix‘s latest hit series, condemning the streaming platform for producing content that officials characterize as politically motivated programming.
Pentagon Press Secretary and MAGA diehard, Kingsley Wilson, released a statement to Entertainment Weekly criticizing the Netflix series Boots, which premiered on October 9 and quickly climbed to the top of the platform’s viewership charts. The eight-episode drama follows Cameron Cope, a closeted gay teenager who enlists in the Marine Corps during the 1990s, navigating the challenges of military life under the era’s restrictive policies.

“Under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, the U.S. military is getting back to restoring the warrior ethos,” Wilson stated. “Our standards across the board are elite, uniform, and sex neutral because the weight of a rucksack or a human being doesn’t care if you’re a man, a woman, gay, or straight.”
The statement took direct aim at Netflix’s programming choices. Officials declared they “will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children.”

The series stars Miles Heizer and Vera Farmiga and is adapted from former Marine Greg Cope White‘s memoir The Pink Marine. Set during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy era, which barred openly LGBTQ individuals from serving in the armed forces from 1993 to 2011, the show depicts the experiences of service members who concealed their identities to remain in uniform.
Despite the Pentagon’s criticism, Boots has received widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. The series currently holds a 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has consistently ranked among Netflix’s most-watched programs since its release.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has recently announced sweeping personnel standards for service members, emphasizing what he describes as a return to traditional military values. During a speech at Quantico Marine Corps Base last month, Hegseth outlined his vision for eliminating what he considers distractions from military readiness.
Netflix has not yet issued a public response to the Pentagon’s statement. The streaming platform’s silence comes as the show continues to perform strongly in viewership metrics, suggesting audience interest remains high despite the official criticism.

Can’t understand if that’s the case why even go near it ?
