At the premiere of Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour, Roan spotted someone who had upset her at a past event. Instead of just posing for photos, she walked right up to them. “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys,” she said, pointing at the photographer.
Videos from the event caught the whole thing. Roan didn’t hold back, telling the photographer, “You yelled at me at the Grammy party. Yes, I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me.”

This isn’t the first time Roan has spoken up. At the 2024 VMAs, she had another run-in with a photographer. When someone yelled at her to “shut the fuck up,” Roan fired back, “No, you shut the fuck up. Not me, bitch.”
Later, Roan opened up about these experiences. She told Entertainment Tonight that dealing with fame has been “quite overwhelming and quite scary.” She admitted, “For someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying, and I yelled back.”
It’s easy to forget that behind the glitz and glamour, artists are just people trying to navigate a sometimes harsh industry. Roan’s honesty about her struggles is refreshing and relatable.
Roan was at the premiere to support Olivia Rodrigo, with whom she’s toured. The two clearly have a strong bond. During a concert in Los Angeles, Rodrigo brought Roan on stage as a surprise guest. Rodrigo gushed, “I absolutely adore her. I think she is one of the most singular, inspiring, powerful artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.”
