Quick Drag: The Queerties Nominations Are Here

The nominees for The Queerties, honoring the year’s best of the best in LGBTQ+ art, media, and culture were announced this week, and Drag Race is well represented with nominees in multiple categories. Season 16 winner Nymphia Wind is up for the “Badass” award, Delta Work’s “Very Delta” is up for best podcast and Gigi Goode is nominated for the Style Icon award. Musical queens were recognized including Luxx Noir London who is up for Breakout Musical Artist honors, Salina EsTitties, whose video for “Bootz” is vying for best music video honors and Mirage’s track “She’s Such a Bitch” is up for best anthem. Detox is a nominee for the Coming Out for Good Award, Drag: The Musical is a pick for the best theater production of the year and Mama Ru’s memoir, The House of Hidden Meaningsis up for the year’s best read.  

RuPaul’s Drag Race faces some competition for best reality TV against We’re Here and Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home and Dungeons & Drag QueensMonét’s Slumber Party and Bring Back My Girls are the drag representatives fighting it out for best web series. 

And the two biggies…up for Future All Star are Plane Jane, Dawn, Tayce, Crystal Methyd, Morphine Love Dion, Xunami Muse, Sugar and Spice, Sapphira Cristal, Olivia Lux and Maddy Morphosis. This year’s nominees for Drag Royalty are Varla Jean Merman, Sasha Velour, Sasha Colby, Alyssa Edwards, Nicky Doll, Angeria Paris Van Micheals, Kandy Muse, Roxxxy Andrews, Andro Gin and Asia Consent. 

Voting is open now through February 25, and you can vote once per day per device. Awards will be presented at the Queerties Live Event on March 11.
