Kim Richards, once a familiar face on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is reportedly facing new challenges in her ongoing battle with addiction. Recent events have brought her struggles back into the spotlight, reminding us of the complex nature of recovery and family dynamics.
According to reports, Kim and her sister, Kyle Richards, were involved in a disagreement earlier this week. The dispute allegedly centered around Kim’s reported relapse into alcohol addiction, an issue that has been a recurring theme in their relationship.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they responded to an incident in Encino on Wednesday, Sept. 25. A source close to the situation mentioned that Kyle owns a home in the area where Kim had been staying recently. The LAPD stated that officers were called to “keep the peace” after reports of a woman violating a restraining order. However, they found no such order on file upon investigation and determined no crime had been committed. “Both parties were informed of eviction process and officers kept the peace,” officials added, without confirming Kim and Kyle’s involvement directly.
The story doesn’t end there. TMZ reports that earlier this month, Kim, 60, was staying at a Hilton hotel before being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. She was reportedly taken to a hospital due to “incoherent” behavior. After her release, Kyle, 55, is said to have offered Kim a place to stay in her home, hoping to help her sister get back on her feet. In a tough-love approach, the family has reportedly cut off all contact with Kim, hoping this decision might encourage her to seek sobriety once again.
