Ryan Gosling is known for breaking character and making his fellow Saturday Night Live cast members laugh. In his latest hosting stint on the NBC sketch program, he continued to stay true to himself by laughing in every skit he was in. This delighted the studio audience and challenged his co-stars, even seasoned veterans like Kenan Thompson, to keep a straight face.
During the show’s cold open, Ryan Gosling and Kate McKinnon reunited for a third Close Encounters sketch. In this sketch, Gosling’s character was allegedly abducted by aliens, and McKinnon’s character demonstrated how the aliens had closely observed Gosling’s private parts. Despite the absurdity of the situation, Gosling found it difficult to keep a straight face, and his laughter set the tone for the rest of the sketch.
