Kim Kardashian wants $148 for a box of hair ties, and the internet is treating it like a crime scene.
The SKIMS Accessories Advent Calendar promises “a dozen reasons to celebrate” and “twelve days of fun surprises.” The real surprise is the receipt.
A TikTok unboxing of all 12 compartments has blown past 34 million views. The creator gets visibly more irritated as each tiny door coughs up another trinket.
Here’s the haul, straight from SKIMS’ own product page: a bear keychain, hair elastics, two rounds of satin scrunchies, two rounds of bobby pins, clips, a bra elastic headband, a comb keychain, a logo keychain and a SKIMS squishy. The Day 12 grand finale is a faux fur compact mirror keychain.

It’s not even a true advent calendar. Tradition calls for 24 days, and Kim is serving half.
The comments section did the rest. One viewer called it a “box full of pranks,” while another clocked it as “basically everything that falls between my car seats.” Both comments cracked a million likes.
Then came the disaster-doc comparisons. Shoppers have crowned it the “Fyre Festival of Advent Calendars,” and others have simply filed the contents under “junk.”
Someone also did the math. “$150 is WILD for maaaaybe $20 worth of stuff,” one commenter wrote, while another compared the goods to “TEMU” junk.
A third viewer was even stingier: “I wouldn’t pay $15 for that.”
The puns arrived right on schedule. Critics rebranded the product the “Skams” calendar, and TikToker Rachel Terriff gave Kardashian a new name entirely: “Scamberly.”
Even the loyalists flinched. Henna Ali, a self-described SKIMS lover, said the price “feels like a miss,” then dryly conceded the items are “definitely accessories.”
Another unboxer begged the universe for something made of gold on the final day. She got the mirror keychain.
The box also has an identity crisis baked in. One shopper asked why an intimates brand was stuffing its calendar “with hair ties and keychains.”
Others spotted déjà vu. “It reminds me of the Zoella calendar,” one commenter wrote, invoking a previous influencer flop.
A rival calendar got a victory lap in the replies. “I spent $25 on it, and I got way more value out of it,” one shopper said of Ulta’s Snoopy calendar.
Not everyone blamed the buyer. “They played in your face girl but you just saved so many people money,” one user told the original creator.

Fair is fair: SKIMS never hid the ball. The listing advertises surprises “from hair accessories to keychains and more,” and the word “accessories” is right there in the name.
And yet the thing has reportedly sold out anyway. Of course it has.
But fine print has never stopped a pile-on. As one commenter put it, “this is all the stuff i just threw out when decluttering my nightstand.”
Merry Christmas. Here’s a squishy.
