Heated Rivalry has not one but two six-episode seasons on the way, and there’s a movie coming too. Somebody get the Zamboni driver a raise.
Deadline‘s Nellie Andreeva reports the two seasons are currently filming back-to-back, with both wrapping at the end of November or beginning of December.
Then, with zero time to ice their hamstrings, the crew pivots straight to a standalone film shooting in December. Deadline says it’s “described as a Christmas special or a holiday-themed episode,” planned for a theatrical release next December.
Here’s the twist. The film will focus on the other Season 1 couple, Scott (François Arnaud) and Kip (Robbie G.K.), with additional characters sprinkled throughout.

Connor Storrie‘s Ilya Rozanov and Hudson Williams‘ Shane Hollander, the series leads, reportedly won’t appear in the film. Shane and Ilya stans, breathe into a paper bag.
Book readers already have the blueprint. Rachel Reid wrote “Merry Christmas, Scott and Kip!”, a short story about the couple’s first Christmas together.
Honestly? Smart move. Arnaud and Robbie G.K. were the stars of episode 3, when the show took a break from Ilya and Shane’s romance.

Arnaud has spent months promising “there’s definitely more” of Scott and Kip.
Robbie G.K. was even more upfront, teasing “A whole lot could be explored.”
He once explained Kip’s attraction to Scott with a shrug, joking that “being 6’1″ and having millions of dollars doesn’t hurt either.” Fair.
Crave, naturally, is playing goalie. A Crave representative told Deadline there are “no projects to confirm.”

Cute, but the puck went in back in August. Dylan Walsh, who plays Shane’s father, said in a leaked Cameo video, “I think we’re doing 12 [episodes] this time.”
Walsh later admitted the viral clip “got me in trouble.” Twelve episodes. Two seasons. You do the math, Crave.
Jacob Tierney kept his own poker face. He told Andy Cohen flatly, “Season 2 will be six episodes.”
Technically true! Tierney also said filming wraps before the end of the year, after starting in late August.

He’d already hinted to Gold Derby, promising fans, “you’re going to get a lot of content.” Understatement of the season.
The cast is clearly under lock and key. Arnaud joked, “I had to sign 14 papers telling me to shut up.”
The theatrical bet isn’t crazy, either. Season 1’s paired-episode screenings at Regal, AMC and Cinemark pulled $420K on Friday across 880 theaters, tracking toward a $1.3M opening weekend.
Season 2 still premieres in spring 2027, with April likely. It’s expected to tackle The Long Game while introducing Role Model couple Harris and Troy, played by Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.

Emily Hampshire, Brendan Morgan, David Tomlinson and Lauren Chan are also among the new cast additions.
For perspective, Season 1 was shot in roughly 36 to 37 days. This crew is now pulling a five-month double shift plus a Christmas movie.
Shane and Ilya fans will survive one holiday without them. Probably.
