Taylor Swift has just dropped the new single which, aside from being a banger, has an important message to boot.

Taylor Swift appears to be addressing internet trolls and those who are anti-LGBT.

“You Need To Calm Down” includes lyrics which reference GLAAD, an LGBTQ led media-monitoring organization, and in the lyric video that goes along with it, the letters “EA” are highlighted in the words “seats, “peace,” and “scream,” which seemingly references the Equality Act, for which Taylor has been a vocal supporter.

The Equality Act is currently with the United States Senate, and if it passes, it would amend the Civil rights Act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation in various important sectors such as housing, education, and employment.

Earlier this month, she shared an open letter to her Senator urging him to defend LGBTQ rights and support the Equality Act.

A music video is scheduled to follow the single next Monday (6/17), debuting on Good Morning America before hitting the internet-at-large. She also announced the release date of her forthcoming album, Lover.
