During a recent Emmy FYC panel series moderated by Entertainment Weekly, actor Theo James, known for his role in Guy Ritchie‘s Netflix series adaptation of the director’s 2020 film The Gentlemen, shared an unexpected and humorous anecdote.
James participated in a game of “2 Truths and a Lie” with costar Daniel Ings, where he recounted a memorable incident from his university days.

“I went on a date that I thought went pretty well,” James began. “We had some fun, and we were young and carefree. The next morning, she had left, and to my surprise, there was a small turd in the bath.”
The crowd was stunned as James confirmed the story was true. Alongside this revelation, James shared two additional pieces of trivia for the game. He mentioned being related to actor Brian Cox and having Greek heritage.

Ings quickly deduced that the connection to Brian Cox was a lie, though he humorously questioned, “Which Brian Cox, the astronomer or the actor?” After James clarified he meant the actor, Ings quipped, “See, if you’d gone astronomer, I would’ve bought it.”
