Tyga was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge amid allegations of abuse from his ex-girlfriend, 22-year-old model Camaryn Swanson, Page Six reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood division confirmed the arrest on social media. He is being held on $50,000 bail, via the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s inmate information center. He also turned himself in on Tuesday (October 12) after refusing to speak with police one day before at his home.
A source close to Tyga told TMZ that Camaryn showed up at his house “shouting” on his doorstep, and the situation escalated once he let her inside the home. She filed a police report after leaving the rapper’s house, where the alleged incident took place.
The incident reportedly occurred after 3:00 a.m. when Swanson showed up at Tyga’s house and they got into an argument. Swanson claims that Tyga hit her and shared photo evidence of bruising on her face on Instagram with the caption, “I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”
While posting a screenshot of a text message exchange, she added, “I didn’t show up ‘screaming’ or uninvited. When I tried to leave he physically assaulted and refused to let me leave for hours.”
