The Week in Drag: Plastique Tiara, Shangela, Trixie Mattel and More!

What a magical week it was on RuPaul’s Drag Race! If you missed the queens channeling their inner Sigfried and Roy, check out our recap.
Since I wasn’t here to recap the L.A.D.P. episode last week, you can relive the improv and Face-kinis on the runway with Mano Agapion and Eliot Glazer on “What the Tuck?” Jiggly Caliente joined Willam and Alaska to talk about the episode and spill a little tea about the upcoming second season of Pose, on the latest episode of “Race Chaser”.
Season six champion Bianca Del Rio brings the laughs as she chats with Manila Luzon on “The Pit Stop.”
Last week’s eliminated queen, Plastique Tiara, talks about her affinity for acrylic nails, her Drag Race experience and growing up without pop culture (which I still find a little dubious) with Michelle Visage on “Whatcha Packin’.” Make sure to stick around to see the fashions she didn’t get to wear on the runway. The Mugler-inspired rhinestone corset bodysuit is everything.
In the grand tradition of Drag Race alums, Plastique has already released her first single, “Irresistible.” And if you’re worried about this Dallas queen’s post-Drag Race career, worry not. As she herself says, “This irresistible queen is conquering the world. I’m a first-generation Vietnamese immigrant who has overcome hardships yet there’s no tarnish on my tiara. It is shining brighter than ever.”
Trixie Mattel is launching a new cosmetic line. She recently teamed with Sugarpill for a capsule collection called Oh Honey and plans to debut her new line, Trixie Cosmetics, at RuPaul’s Drag Con in Los Angeles later this month.

Atlanta’s own Nicole Paige Brooks from Drag Race season 2 was the latest guest on Hey Qween! Check out part one, part two and part three on YouTube.
Last weekend, Shangela performed at the 30th Annual White Party Palm Springs with “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” chanteuse Deborah Cox.

Monét X Change is among the Drag Race alums popping up in the upcoming video from Madonna. She got fired from the Hater’s Roast tour because of it, but I’m sure it’s going to be worth it in the long run.
Lastly, let’s wish a very happy birthday to two of season two’s standout performers, Sonique and Pandora Boxx!
