The Week in Drag – Another All Star sashays away, Trixie Mattel and Katya hit the road, Kylie Sonique Love puts the “sin” in Sin City and more

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 6

Hello, hello, hello! If you’re looking for a break from the summer heat, take a break and cool off with these smoking hot videos and updates from your favorite queens in The Week in Drag.

We watched another All Star sashay away and she talks to Michelle Visage about her time on the show. We also take a closer look at last week’s “Rudemption” fashions with commentary from Bob, Thorgy, Yuhua, Raja and Raven. In the grand tradition of To Wong Foo, our favorite duo is taking their show on the road and we’ve got all of the details for you – as well as news and videos from the Drag Race universe. Let’s not waste another moment and let’s bring it to the runway!

Monique Heart and “Trixie Mattel” review the half-time all-star extravaganza and the runway fashions on “The Pit Stop”. They also kiki about the celebs they have played and have wanted to play on the show (Monique would make a fabulous Tina Turner, by the way.)

We said goodbye to one of our favorite – and eccentric – OG queens this week, the Puerto Rican sensation, Yara Sofia. She talks to Michelle Visage about her experience the second time around on All Stars on the latest “Whatcha’ Packin’?” I don’t know about you, but I will miss her special brand of crazy.

Bob the Drag Queen and Thorgy Thor take us back to last week’s episode and talk about the hilarious side hustle challenge and rudemption fashions on “Purse First Impressions.”

While the queens brought some of their fashion flops back to the runway, some made major improvements and some were sill underwhelming. To help us figure out who were the winners of the week, Raja and Raven are back to toot and boot the looks on “Fashion Photo Ruview.”

Yuhua Hamasaki and Drag Race Thailand Season 2 queen Vanda Miss Joaquim give their two cents about the rudemption realness the queens served on the runway on “Bootleg Opinions.”

Our gone, but not forgotten, queen Jiggly Caliente talks about her brief time on the season and recaps the show’s first three episodes with US Weekly.

Last week’s eliminated All Star, Silky Nutmeg Ganache is here with a makeup tutorial for you, creating a “fun and flirty” neon peacock look. Has she graduated from using Sharpies to draw on her eyebrows? You’ll just have to watch and see.

Miley Cyrus performed a special 4th of July concert at the new Resorts World in Las Vegas and brought a very special guest to the stage, current All Star Kylie Sonique Love. She joined Miley for a steamy cover of “American Woman.” Miley posted about the show on social media, tweeting, “THIS is the new AMERICAN WOMAN! @xosoniqueIS my Miss America!!!!!!!!!! You take the crown mama!”

Peppermint, Drag Race UK season one’s Crystal and Barbada talked about their upcoming drag competition show, Call Me Mother with ET Canada. The show, which seeks out the “first child of drag” showcases different types of drag and supports and nurtures up-and-coming drag talent of all types is coming this fall to OUTtv and I cannot wait.

Need more drag in your life? Love international spin-offs? Well, you’re in luck as World of Wonder announced this week that Drag Race Holland is coming back for a second season. Ten Dutch queens are going head-to-head to join Envy Peru in the international Drag Race hall of fame. The show debuts on August 6 on WOW Presents Plus.

Forget about the MCU, we’d rather live in Trixie and Katya’s universe. On the latest episode of “UNHhhh”, the pair discuss superheroes and villains, reveal the superpowers they would have and what animal would bring them back to life (a la Catwoman). They also answer a fan question about the pros and cons of being “enemies with benefits.”

If you can’t get enough of Trixie and Katya, you may be in luck as the pair may be coming to a city near you. On Wednesday, the queens announced their upcoming live tour. The “Trixie and Katya Live” tour will kick off in March of 2022, with two nights in San Francisco and 20 more dates across the country. Tickets are available at

Trixie and our current reigning queen, Symone, enjoy some White Claw, and dig into the new Clueless x Hipdot and Spongebob x WetnWild makeup collections.

Bob the Drag Queen is also doing some makeup magic this week. Here, he serves a look inspired by the “7 deadly sins” episode of Legendary on HBO Max.

A while back, Rosé released her insanely catchy single “Devil in the Details” and now she has blessed us with a fantastic new video to accompany it. I am all for all of the music coming from the Stephanie’s Child queens.

Season 9’s Kimora Blac is the latest queen to be “exposed” by Joseph Shepherd. She’s the queen of makeup videos and, after watching this interview, you’ll discover there’s so much more to her than meets the eye.

It’s no secret that we will never see Willam on All Stars (although, we would not be disappointed if she showed up), but she is giving us her take on some of the runway looks as part of her “Naw Stars” series. With the help of makeup artist Gage Munster she gives us some “Blue Jean Baby Yoda” realness.

And, for her “Naw Stars” rudemption look, she gives her magazine cover look a redux.

Season six champion Bianca Del Rio chats with fellow funny people Tom Papa and Fortune Feimster for Netflix is a Joke.

UK queens The Vivienne and Tia Kofi discuss horror movies (one loves ‘em, one hates ‘em) and watch the first episode of the new Netflix series Fear Street on “I Like to Watch.”

Former Drag Race judge Loni Love was the guest host for The Ellen DeGeneres Show this past week and had RuPaul on as a guest. Ru talked about discovering some surprising Drag Race fans, wigs and late-night bike rides. The pair also played a round of “Dirty Heads Up” that has to be seen to be believed. These two need a talk show, like, now.

Rock M Sakura reacts to more K-Pop videos. I know nothing about K-Pop, but Rock’s eye makeup in this video is absolutely mesmerizing.

Jaymes Mansfield is back with more wig wizardry, creating a wig inspired by the character Rose Quartz from the animated series Steven Universe.

And that’s all for this week. We will be back with more to fulfill your Drag Race cravings next week. Until then, stay healthy, stay safe, get vaccinated and say LOVE!
