RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 3 cast

Hello, hello, hello! We are back with all of the drag news you can handle in the latest The Week in Drag.

We are almost at the end of season six of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars but, fear not, fans, as a new season of Drag Race UK is on the horizon, along with two shows featuring the top queens of the Philippines.

We’ve got recaps and reviews of All Stars as well as videos from some of your favorites, including Trixie and Katya, Willam, Tina Burner, Bob the Drag Queen and lots more. And so, without further ado, let’s bring it to the runway!

This week’s lip sync smackdown brought back our eliminated All Stars for some truly fantastic performances. Denali and Trixie Mattel discuss the “game within a game” and the queens’ looks and lip syncs on the latest episode of “The Pit Stop”.

With Thorgy Thor in the UK, season 8 queen (and We’re Here makeup artist) Laila McQueen joins Bob the Drag Queen to discuss last week’s Drag Tots challenge and more in the latest “Purse First Impressions.”

Raja and Raven toot and boot the queen’s animated runway looks on the latest “Fashion Photo Ruview.”

Laganja Estranja is back to talk fashion with Yuhua Hamasaki. The pair discuss the Drag Tots runway looks on “Bootleg Opinions.” By the way, if you want to support Laganja’s journey and that of other trans women, you can donate here.

Want more from Yuhua and Laganja? The duo took a walk down memory lane and reacted to their Drag Race looks.

Eureka O’Hara is the latest to get an unflattering YouTube thumbnail as she speaks with Us Weekly about her All Stars experience, her dubious superlatives and lots more.

All hail the queens! This week, the cast of the upcoming RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season three was announced. The twelve queens competing for the coveted title of the next The UK’s Next Drag Superstar are: Ella Vaday, Scarlett Harlett, Choriza May, Elektra Fence, Krystal Versace, Charity Kase, River Medway, Kitty Scott-Claus, Victoria Scone (the series’ first-ever AFAB queen), Vanity Milan, Anubis as well as returning season 2 queen Veronica Green, who had to depart last season early because she was diagnosed with COVID.

The queens will battle it out over ten weeks, with judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr returning to the panel as well as some yet-unnamed guest judges. The new season debuts later this fall on BBC 3 as well as on WOW Presents Plus.

Are you ready for even more Drag Race? On Monday, World of Wonder announced the next international iteration of the Emmy-winning franchise, Drag Race Philippines. The series will premiere exclusively on WOW Presents Plus globally. The Filipino version of the worldwide franchise joins existing formats across Thailand, Chile, Canada, Holland, the UK, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, and Italy.

“The Drag Race franchise has shined a spotlight on so many incredible queens from around the world and we are so excited to introduce audiences to the dazzling queens of the Philippines,” said World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. “WOW Presents Plus was created to serve as a springboard for underrepresented voices, so we are thrilled to exclusively premiere Drag Race Philippines on the platform for our global viewers.” The host, judges, cast, and premiere date of Drag Race Philippines will be ru-vealed at a later date.

Pinoy queens are also in the spotlight with Manila Luzon-hosted Drag Den. Manila announced auditions this week on her Instagram. Can you handle the fabulousness?

The Emmy Award-winning makeup artist David Petruschin, who you may know better as the amazing Raven, talks about being Ru’s MUA and lots more in this interview with Variety.

Miz Cracker is back on the road, relaunching her “She’s a Woman” tour. The tour will kick off on January 30 in Los Angeles, CA, with 20 additional dates ending in Austin, TX.

“I can’t wait to tour America with my brand-new show, She’s a Woman,” said Miz Cracker. “I’m so excited to see people in person after months alone. It’s been too long since I’ve hit the stage, and I can’t wait to tell my most personal, ridiculous stories while looking right in your eyes! To fans and friends alike, join me for this once in a lifetime experience.”

In her one-woman show, Miz Cracker presents a full hour of standup and music, discussing everything from dating and dieting to Covid and global calamity. With her signature brand of cheerful pessimism, she tells stories about her bizarre childhood, her vices, her worst mistakes—and how she somehow managed to survive it all. Embracing a message of self-acceptance—not necessarily self-love—She’s a Woman is a show for anyone who loves not loving life. Tickets and upgrade packages are on sale now at shesawomantour.com.

It’s a naughty episode of “UNHhhh” as Trixie and Katya discuss exchanging nude pics, phone sex and other adult activities.

If you want to spend more time outdoors before cool autumn temperatures arrive, why not do a little “goth gardening” with Willam? Check out the latest installment of “Crafternoonting.”

Reading is fundamental and it’s the topic this week for Bob and Monét X Change on “Sibling Rivalry.”

The always congenial (plus smooth and supple) Heidi N Closet joins Trixie Mattel to kiki and get into drag together. I would love to hang with these two.

In “take my money” news, on Friday, Trixie introduced her latest collection for Trixie Cosmetics, Plant Gay.

We blinked and the summer we deserve is suddenly coming to an end. Let’s be real – who wants to give up the beach trips, rooftop parties, and sun-kissed tans for the cold, dreary winter months? Well lucky for you, you may not have to. Not all heroes wear capes, and BABE Wine and drag superstar Rosé, the CEO of summer fun, are here to break the news that they are officially extending summer for 100 more hours. In honor of the brand-new BABE 100 variety pack which includes Rosé, Red and White wine, BABE and Rosé are teaming up one more time to keep summer going for just a little bit longer. Actually: 100 more hours, to be exact.

Summer technically ends on September 21, but this year, BABE is extending the summer fun for 100 more hours because we all deserve more summer (and more wine). That’s why BABE is giving away two VIP weekend passes to the ten-year anniversary of New York City’s premiere music festival, Governors Ball, roundtrip flights to NYC, a four-night stay at a nearby hotel, and a $500 gift card*! Yep, summer now officially ends on September 26th at the conclusion of the three-day festival at Citi Field. Two lucky BABE fans will get the chance to travel to New York City and celebrate the extra summer hours sipping on some BABE while watching some of your favorite artists perform.

“As the CEO of The Summer We Deserve, it is my honor to announce that BABE is giving everyone 100 more hours of summer in celebration of their new BABE 100 Variety Pack,” says Rosé.  “BABE 100 is a 100 calorie wine in a can and I’m OBSESSED. More summer and more wine? Sign me up!”

Full sweepstakes details can be found here. Check out this wine locator to find BABE Wine near you or purchase it online here.

Rock M Sakura takes a DNA test to find out where she comes from. Turns out she’s 100% that amazing queen.

I am absolutely loving Tina Burner’s show tune videos, and this could be my new favorite. Watch as she covers “Sweet Transvestite” from The Rocky Horror Show.

And that’s it for this week. Until we meet again, stay safe, stay healthy, get vaccinated and say LOVE!
