During a recent interview with U.K. outlet Metro, actor Zac Efron opened up about one of the challenges he faced while portraying pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich in the upcoming movie The Iron Claw.
Efron admitted that one of the most unexpected moments was when he had to spend downtime on set in his underwear around a large group of people. “One of the jarring moments that I wasn’t expecting was when the wrestling stops, or there’s a cut, or in between setups or takes – you’ve just got to stand there with a whole crowd around, in your underwear,” he explained. “That’s a different kind of feeling. I’ve never experienced that one before.”
Efron went on to explain the awkwardness of trying to figure out where to put his hands or where to look when surrounded by so many people. The Iron Claw tells the true story of the Von Erich professional wrestling family, as they navigate the challenges of the industry and strive to live up to their father's expectations.
