Actor Jonathan Majors has been hit with further accusations of assault and harassment by several women, as reported by The New York Times.
Despite his insistence on innocence in a televised interview, numerous former girlfriends, colleagues, and on-set personnel have shared accounts of Majors' abusive behavior.
Emma Duncan, a former girlfriend, detailed incidents of emotional and physical abuse, including choking and bruising. Another ex-girlfriend, Maura Hooper, reported emotional abuse at his hands.
Both women are actresses who dated Majors before he became famous, and described him as a “controlling, threatening figure” who isolated them from friends and career pursuits.
According to former colleagues interviewed by The New York Times, Majors exhibited volatility on the set of HBO's Lovecraft Country, including confrontations with female co-workers that led them to complain to the network.
The Times' report was based on interviews with 20 people and statements submitted to the prosecution in the December case, where Majors was found guilty of harassment and misdemeanor assault against Grace Jabbari, a former girlfriend. Majors is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
As a result of the accusations, Majors has lost major career opportunities, including a story arc in the upcoming Avengers films as the super villain Kang, as well as his management and publicity firms.
