Angelina Jolie closed the chapter on her two-year legal fight with the FBI, dropping her lawsuit over their probe into abuse claims against ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Court papers seen by People show the Maria actress filed to dismiss the case with prejudice on Sept. 25, with each side covering their own legal costs.

Back in 2016, the FBI looked into a reported physical clash between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, plus their kids, on a private plane. This came after someone tipped off the bureau anonymously.

The investigation ended on November 22, 2016, with no charges against Pitt, now 60. Just days later, Jolie, 49, started divorce proceedings.

In April 2022, Jolie filed a suit as “Jane Doe”. Under the Freedom of Information Act, she sought details “about the agency’s investigation of an incident of domestic violence that occurred several years ago involving plaintiff and her minor children as victims and witnesses.”

The couple, who married in 2014, share six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. Their divorce is still ongoing and has not been finalized.
