In an astonishing entrance that had everyone talking, Bad Bunny took the stage by storm – and on horseback, no less – during the electrifying opening night of his ‘Most Wanted’ tour at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, this past Wednesday. It was a moment that mixed the thrill of live music with a dash of controversy as fans cheered and the stage lit up, welcoming the 29-year-old rapper/singer and his equine partner in a spectacle meant to dazzle.

But not everyone was basking in the excitement. Animal rights powerhouse PETA has thrown a spotlight on the stunt, calling Bad Bunny out for what they’re deeming a “cruel and irresponsible” act.

“Bad Bunny: Using a horse for your tour is cruel and irresponsible. The horse, your fans or you could have been hurt.”

PETA added: “No ‘estamos bien’ [we’re not good] with this irresponsible act. @Bad Bunny, why did you think it was a good idea to expose a horse to the noise, lights, fog and screams of thousands of people?

“The horse looks stressed and clearly DOESN’T WANT TO BE THERE. Please, do not include animals in your shows. They want to live in peace, and not be used for your spectacle.”

Despite the backlash, the “Safaera” hitmaker doubled down by featuring the horse once more in his Vegas show at the T-Mobile Arena. With upcoming gigs in Phoenix, Arizona stirring anticipation, questions hang in the air about whether the horse will make another appearance.

Silence remains from Bad Bunny’s camp regarding PETA’s call-out. This isn’t the first time celebrities have found themselves in hot water with the organization. Flashback to last year, when CeeLo Green’s horseback entrance at a party ended with a fall, sparking yet another debate over animals in entertainment—a topic PETA’s Lisa Lange is passionately vocal about, hoping for a future where stars think twice before turning living beings into props.
