ESPN The Magazineโ€˜s 2011 annual Body Issue, in which several athletes strip down and pose nude or semi-nude, comes out on Friday and images from the shoot have been released. ESPN announced last week that womenโ€™s soccer star Hope Solo and NBA player Blake Griffin would be among the athletes to pose.

For the record, Griffin chose the white thong, not that itโ€™s visible in the photos. He described the experience as โ€œuncomfortable at first.โ€

Hope Solo told Us Weeklyย on Thursday at ESPNโ€™s Annual Body Party in NYC, โ€œI donโ€™t really [have to] get red carpet ready because, you know, this is my profession. Being responsible and taking care of your body is truly how you make your paycheck, how you excel and succeed in your lifelong goals, so for me, itโ€™s just an everyday lifestyle.โ€

Among those also featured inside the issue are Steve Jackson, Jose Reyes, Natasha Hastings and Sylvia Fowles.
