Cara Delevingne has finally addressed the rumor mill that has trailed her for nearly a decade.

The supermodel turned actress confirmed on The Louis Theroux Podcast that she and Amber Heard were romantically involved while Heard was divorcing Johnny Depp.

Host Louis Theroux didn’t waste time getting to it, asking Delevingne point blank, “Are we going to mention the Johnny Depp thing?”

He pressed further, telling Delevingne that Depp was reportedly “driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you.”

Delevingne explained where the speculation actually started.

“It’s because we did a movie together, and it was called London Fields. He was also doing the movie,” she said. “I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose.”

When Theroux pushed back on her hedging with, “You suppose?” Delevingne clarified there was no ambiguity about it.

“No, I don’t suppose,” she said.

Theroux then brought Elon Musk into the conversation, noting that Heard had also been “entangled with other people” around that time.

“Well, with Elon,” he said, referring to Musk.

Delevingne’s response was short and simple: “There you go.”

Heard filed for divorce from Depp in May 2016 after roughly 15 months of marriage. The split kicked off years of bruising legal battles, culminating in Depp’s 2022 defamation win against Heard in Virginia. Heard has since relocated to Spain, where she’s raising her three children.

London Fields, the film that started the speculation, was shot between 2013 and 2015 and starred Depp, Heard and Delevingne together.

The podcast episode covered more than just Delevingne’s past romance. She also opened up about how disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein once warned her that dating women publicly would hurt her career, a comment she said she “really took to heart” at the time.

Delevingne, who has been open about identifying as a lesbian, recently starred in Jordan Firstman‘s Club Kid, which premiered at Cannes and was acquired by A24. Depp, meanwhile, is gearing up for a string of new film roles, while Heard hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2023.
