Today (July 24, 2020), Dan Levy, the beloved co-creator and star of Schitt's Creek has announced the relaunch of his unisex eyewear line of frames.
As part of the launch, D.L. Eyewear will support the Local Initiatives Support Corporation which helps small businesses impacted by the ongoing global pandemic.
In a press release, Levy said:
“I’m so thrilled to be relaunching and to be supporting LISC in the process. Even though D.L. Eyewear is a small business, I wanted to support other small businesses as we grow – particularly those owned by women, people of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those in historically disadvantaged communities – in the hopes that we can all grow together. With this relaunch, considerable care has gone into every element of these new frames to make them special yet accessible, and I couldn’t be more excited to get them out into the world and give back in the process.”
“The motto of our brand is “see with love,” Levy said, “which is inscribed inside every frame to serve as a daily reminder for people to live their lives with kindness, love and empathy.”
Originally launched back in 2013, the new line will feature 23 “gender-fluid” frames. They will all be available for $135 on the D.L. Eyewear website.
The collection is set to launch on August 9.
