The Ruff Ryders’ First Lady has officially traded Philly cheesesteaks for afternoon tea, and she has zero regrets.

Eve, the Grammy-winning rapper born Eve Jeffers, sat down with British comedian Romesh Ranganathan on “The Romesh Ranganathan Show” and got candid about why the United Kingdom has her heart after nearly 12 years across the pond.

“But to be honest, I really love it here,” she told Ranganathan. “I honestly genuinely It’s crazy how much I feel at home here. Yeah. like in my soul, in my spirit, I feel home.”

That’s a glow-up from her original game plan. Eve admitted her initial timeline was “3 years tops,” expecting to eventually convince husband Maximillion Cooper to relocate once the kids were older. Spoiler alert: the kids got older, and Eve stayed put.

The “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” hitmaker married the British entrepreneur back in 2014. Cooper is the founder and CEO of Gumball 3000, the luxury lifestyle brand behind those celebrity-stuffed motor racing rallies. Translation: this is a household that knows how to live large.

And live large she does. Eve and Cooper reportedly call West London home, one of the capital’s poshest postcodes. Per British real estate site Rightmove, houses in the neighborhood average more than 1.1 million pounds.

The couple are regulars on London’s gala circuit, too. In March, the pair turned up at The King’s Trust Invest in Futures Gala, with Eve looking gorgeous as ever in a brown velvet dress.

So has all this British living turned the Philly native into a proper UK girlie? Not so fast. When Ranganathan asked if she feels more British these days, Eve shut it down quick.

“No. No. I am so American still,” she insisted.

Still, fans aren’t buying the full denial, mostly because they keep clocking her accent. “It’s funny like on my socials now and stuff when I do interviews and things, people are like, ‘Oh, I hear that British accent.’ Or like my friends will say to me, ‘Oh, did you hear what you just said?'” Eve explained, laughing that she remains “so loud and American still.”

The blended Philly-London twang is just part of the package now.

For Eve, the appeal of UK life comes down to peace. “I really want some peace within myself,” she told Essence in a previous chat, gushing about the slower pace that lets her focus on raising son Wilde Wolfe with Cooper, plus her four stepchildren.

“We were at a farm two weeks ago, and I’m like, listen, I’m this chick from Philly. From Philly! I still, sometimes I’m like, wow, I live in London,” she marveled.

Don’t expect a stateside return announcement anytime soon, either. Eve said any plans to move back are “put on pause for a little bit” and that she is “definitely not moving to America now right now,” though she stopped short of slamming the door forever.

Meanwhile, she’s staying busy. Eve has launched her wellness brand Breathe and Believe and teased a 2026 UK tour marking the 25th anniversary of her album Scorpion.

Philly’s finest with a side of British baddie energy? Eve makes it look effortless.
