Henry Cavill steps into a prestigious new role — as an “ambassador of elegance” for the high-end timepiece brand Longines.
The collaboration will see Cavill visiting the brand’s base in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, where he’ll get an inside look at the meticulous craftsmanship and intricate details that the Swiss watchmaker has perfected throughout its rich history dating back to 1832.
“What draws me to Longines is their understated elegance,” Cavill said in a statement. “True quality doesn’t need to announce itself. It’s evident in every detail and in every action. This is a philosophy, backed by generations of precision craftsmanship and artistry, that resonates deeply with my own values.”
Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines, shared his perspective: “In Henry, we recognize a real affinity with our brand’s values. His sophistication, genuine warmth and multifaceted personality reflect what elegance means today. Whether commanding the screen in epic productions or sharing his passions for aviation and equestrianism, he maintains an authenticity and grace that makes him a clear embodiment of the Longines spirit.”
Cavill, who previously served as an ambassador for Boss Eyewear, is set to headline the upcoming live-action Voltron for Amazon MGM Studios with director Rawson Marshall Thurber, starring alongside Sterling K. Brown and Alba Baptista. He’s also joining Guy Ritchie‘s In the Grey with Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez and Rosamund Pike.
