After leaving Island Records earlier this month, Iggy Azalea has announced that she now has a record deal that’s worth $2.7 million. Along with that, she claims she owns the masters to her records.

She revealed new details of the deal on Twitter.

“Proud to say I literally just signed my new deal/partnership!,” she announced on Twitter. “2.7mil, can sign others, own my masters + 100% independent. I’m feeling like such a bossy grown ass bitch today! Time to get back to ME. I’m so grateful & excited. Cheers! She also celebrated the fact that she can now own her masters. “I OWN MY OWN MASTERSSSSS bitchhhhhhhhh turn the fuck up!”

Ownership of one's own music certainly bodes well in the streaming era, where an artist can amass thousands and thousands of dollars without lifting a finger. Plus, now that Iggy is essentially an independent artist, it's entirely possible that she'll finally put out the album she's been working on her a minute.

Azalea's announcement comes shortly after Entertainment Tonight spoke to the “Fancy” star during Cardi B's Fashion Nova party in Hollywood on Wednesday (Nov. 15). “Yeah, I left my label, I announced it two weeks ago and then I signed a new deal,” she told ET on the red carpet. “So, I'm gonna announce that probably next week. Yeah, I'm really excited!” She also revealed during her interview that she plans on moving to Atlanta to finish her album. “I'm actually moving to Atlanta in two weeks. Yeah, so I'm gonna go and start recording there and finish my album…and it's really good.”

Now, if Iggy can only keep from having drinks thrown at her, all will be good.
