Actor Jacob Elordi is featured on the cover of Decemberโ€™s Men of The Year issue of GQ.

In the interview, the 26-year-old Aussie actor says that his Kissing Booth films on Netflix were โ€œridiculous moviesโ€ and made him feel โ€œdead inside.โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t want to make those movies before I made those movies,โ€ he said of the wildly popular franchise. โ€œThose movies are ridiculous. Theyโ€™re not universal. Theyโ€™re an escape.โ€

The actor insists on high stands and is shocked when people bristle at it.

โ€œHow is caring about your output pretentious?โ€ Elordi asked. โ€œBut not caring, and knowingly feeding people shit, knowing that youโ€™re making money off of peopleโ€™s time, which is literally the most valuable thing that they have. How is that the cool thing?โ€

โ€œWell, they asked me to read for Superman,โ€ Elordi told GQ. โ€œThat was immediately, โ€˜No, thank you.โ€™ Thatโ€™s too much. Thatโ€™s too dark for me.โ€

When it comes to roles that Elordi does want to play, fans can look to his unsettling role in Emerald Fennellโ€™s upcoming thriller Saltburn.

Elordi has said that his character Felix Cotton is โ€œin many waysโ€ even โ€œscarierโ€ than his infamous portrayal of toxic high school boyfriend Nate Jacobs in HBOโ€™s Euphoria โ€“ and thatโ€™s saying something.

The film, which Emerald Fennell has revealed will be canonically queer, tells the story of Oliver (Barry Keoghan), who is struggling to make friends as a vulnerable new student at Oxford University.

Eventually, Oliver connects with fellow student Felix, the deceptively charming, egotistical son and heir of the aristocratic Catton family and the epitome of the British upper class.

As the pairโ€™s friendship blooms, Oliver grows increasingly attached to Felix and his familyโ€™s high-flying lifestyle. When he joins the Cattons that summer on their sprawling family estate, heโ€™s in for an experience heโ€™ll never forget.
