Jared Padalecki has sparked excitement among the Supernatural fanbase by hinting at the possibility of reuniting with co-star Jensen Ackles at some point down the line.

While there’s currently no definitive plan in place for the Winchester siblings to team up again, both actors seem open to exploring the idea when the time is right.

In a recent conversation with Collider, Padalecki shared his thoughts on a potential revival of the beloved series. “It’s not that I haven’t seriously considered doing it, my single answer is yes. It’s timing. It’s availability,” he expressed.

Padalecki emphasized the importance of quality and respect for the show’s legacy: “Jensen and I feel so strongly about our show that we had for 15 years together that we don’t wanna just do it, just to do it. We don’t wanna go, ‘Hey, I have two weeks off in June. Let’s go ahead and shoot 10 pages a day, just so we can have some more content.’”

He reassured fans that any future incarnation of Supernatural would be crafted with the utmost care. Padalecki said, “If and when Supernatural comes back, it’s going to be a labor of love, and we’re gonna put every hour in to make sure that it’s as true to the canon and to the fandom and to the story and to the characters as possible.”

Supernatural, which first aired in September 2005 on The WB before transitioning to The CW, concluded its epic run in November 2020 after a total of 327 episodes across 15 seasons. Padalecki added, “So, my short answer is it’s not a consideration, the answer is yes. I just don’t know when I’m available. I don’t know when he’s available. But again, my answer is yes.”

Fans were also treated to a prequel spinoff, The Winchesters, aired on The CW. The shorter-lived series took viewers back to the 1970s to follow the adventures of John and Mary Winchester, the parents of Sam and Dean.

Keep your eyes peeled. The iconic duo might soon grace our screens once more, and when they do, it promises to be something born from a shared love and commitment to their story.
