After teasing lyrics from her new song, Katy Perry has finally released her a new single, “Small Talk.”

The bouncy, retro-sounding single is Perry’s follow up to “Never Really Over” which was released earlier this year.

“Never Really Over,” which debuted May 31, peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified gold.

“Small Talk” is breezy synth-pop perfection, as Perry recalls the days she used to be close to someone before they went from “strangers to lovers to strangers.”

Perry co-wrote “Small Talk” with Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Johan Carlsson and Charlie Puth, with the latter two producing the cut as well.

Perry unveiled “Small Talk” at the Capitol Congress in Hollywood on Tuesday, ahead of its wider release.

She was presented with a plaque commemorating 100 million RIAA song certifications, making her one of five artists to have accomplished the feat with digital singles.
