Lindsay Lohan and Mohammad bin Salman, the powerful crown prince of Saudi Arabia, have reportedly formed an unlikely friendship.

Pals of the actress say “they’ve seen text exchanges between the pair” and are boasting about what they claim is a new friendship. Page Six is also claiming that the billionaire “been flying her around in his jets and showering her with presents.”

This is my favorite blurb from the Page Six article:

While the “Herbie: Fully Loaded” star and the vicious authoritarian would seem to make for an unlikely twosome, sources close to Lohan, who has been partly based in nearby Dubai for the past couple of years, told Page Six that it’s not unusual for the “Rumors” singer to be courted by Middle Eastern dignitaries. “They go crazy for her out there,” exclaimed one insider.

Lohan's rep says the pair only met once at a Formula One Grand Prix race and deny any dating rumors, but sources within her circle say they definitely know each other.

MbS has faced accusations of reportedly calling for the murder of Washington Post journalist Khashoggi last October, while others describe him as a modernizing force in Saudi Arabia pushing for women’s rights.

Lohan — who is currently in Australia filming The Masked Singer — has been based in Dubai since 2016 after seeking a life away from the glaring eyes of Hollywood. She also briefly lived in London, but the actress said she feels more at home in Dubai.

“There's a certain calmness that I find there. There's no paparazzi, no cameras; that's a big deal for me,” Lohan told W magazine last year of her new home. “I felt so relieved when I moved everything over from London to Dubai, and I saw everything in one place. Now I don't have to open suitcases and live out of hotels and bags. Everything is where it should be.

“[Moving is] a cleansing of your head, which is what I needed, and it took me a while to do it,” she added. “I do really appreciate having the life where I can just go outside and not have to worry.”
