After Donald Trump clinched his second presidential victory, there's buzz about whether Melania Trump will embrace White House life differently this time around. Remember how she waited until June 2017 to move in during their first term? Some say it was for her son's schooling, others hint at prenup negotiations. Well, this time, she might not make the move at all.

According to CNN‘s inside scoop, Melania's likely to skip the full-time White House experience round two. Instead, she's planning to split her time between the glitz of New York City and the sunshine of Palm Beach, Florida. But don't worry, she'll still show up for the big moments and have her official first lady duties and projects, even if 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue isn't her primary address.

While this would totally break with the traditional First Lady playbook, it's not exactly shocking news for Team Melania watchers. During Trump's third campaign run, she was basically MIA except for three key appearances: the kickoff announcement, that buzzy Madison Square Garden rally right before Election Day, and the election night celebration.

Her first stint as first lady wasn't exactly her favorite gig – remember that leaked tape where she said “who gives a f–k about Christmas”? There were those whispers about her being “miserable” and “very, very unhappy with her life,” plus that mega-watt smile when she landed in Palm Beach on January 20, 2021.

A source spilled to People that year, “She was relieved when her husband's term ended.” Another insider dished about Trump's potential 2024 run, saying, “If he runs, I doubt she will be involved at all. If he should win, that would be the worst-case scenario for her.”

Melania's already breaking tradition by skipping the customary meet-up with outgoing First Lady Jill Biden while their husbands have their chat. CNN reports that after Jill extended the invite, Trump's team pushed for Melania to go, considering it important. But apparently, there was some scheduling drama with Melania's book project. Her office later confirmed she'd be a no-show, mysteriously adding that “several unnamed sources in the media” had “provide[d] false, misleading, and inaccurate information,” without spilling what exactly was false.

In a recent Fox News chat, Melania played it cool about round two as first lady, saying she's “not anxious” because “this time is different. I have much more experience and much more knowledge. I was in the White House before. When you go in, you know exactly what to expect.”
