There was a ton of news that happened over the holiday in the entertainment and pop culture world, so here is what you may have missed.
UPDATED:
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are married after nine years of dating off and on, the singer confirmed on Instagram.
Cyrus, 26, posted several black-and-white pictures of herself and Hemsworth, 28, hugging on Instagram, as well as a selfie of them kissing. “10 years later …..” she captioned one of the photos.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly tied the knot in a secret ceremony. The once on-again-off-again couple, who reconnected in 2015, is said to have exchanged vows in an intimate affair at their home.
Several pictures of the two were shared by their surfer friend Conrad Jack Carr on his Instagram Story where in one of the photographs Hemsworth, 28, and his brothers Chris and Luke can be seen doing a “shotski,” with ‘Mr and Mrs' balloons in the background.
Another picture has Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth dressed in traditional white and a tux, respectively in front of a white cake and cupcakes, with the singer's mother, Tish in the frame.
In the second creepiest thing that happened over the Christmas holiday (the Us trailer release being the creepiest), Kevin Spacey released a bizarre video commenting on the sexual misconduct allegations made against him in character as House of Cards’s Frank Underwood.
The actor released the video – titled “Let me Be Frank – on his Twitter account at the same time as it was revealed he has been charged for the alleged assault of an 18-year-old male in July 2016. He will be arraigned in Boston, Massachusetts on 7 January.
In the video, Spacey urged fans to “wait for the evidence” in character as Underwood, the character he played for five seasons until he was fired from the show after being accused of inappropriate sexual advances by actor Anthony Rapp. Last year, Spacey said he did not remember the encounter but apologized for any “inappropriate drunken behavior.”
It's a merry Christmas indeed for Heidi Klum and German rocker Tom Kaulitz, who announced their engagement on Monday. The couple have been dating since March.
The Kardashian family Christmas card sort of happened. The photo shows Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie and Kim and all of the children clad in all-white, sitting on a white couch. Kris Jenner and model Kendall Jenner and all the adult men in the family (and extended family) are missing from the pic.
The internet was not pleased about Queen Elizabeth‘s Christmas speech. Actually there was just really pissed about the gold piano in the background.
- Mariah's for rent. Mariah Carey‘s team has been seeking private parties for Carey to play, and recently sent out an email blast to PR firms and corporations that Carey is “Available for Corporate & Private Events.”
- Asia Argento was accused of sexual misconduct earlier this year by former co-star Jimmy Bennett, but according to a new report, the case against her is officially on hold after the accuser failed to file any police report. What's more, Bennett has reportedly fallen off the grid and been unreachable for months.
- Tyra Banks is leaving America's Got Talent. The girl can't commit to anything so this is not surprising in the least. Banks will be leaving the gig to focus on producing TV and movies.
- Roseanne Barr will visit Israel in January to speak at the Mediterranean nation’s parliament and condemn the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. What could go wrong?
