NeNe Leakes Claims Lisa Vanderpump Talked Her Out of Buying Pump

NeNe Leakes recently revealed on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that she wanted to go “head to head” with Lisa Rinna but she got her Lisa's mixed up and really meant to say Lisa Vanderpump.

NeNe claimed on the February 01, 2019 episode of Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show. “She knows that we have a little something, something she did to me. I’ve never really addressed it. … She did some real foul shit to me.”

McCarthy pressed Leaks to talk about her beef with Vanderpump.

NeNe revealed that she wanted to buy the space on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood where Vanderpump now has her successful bar/restaurant PUMP.

“At the time, Greg [Leakes] and I were living in [Los Angeles] and I was working on Glee and New Normal,” NeNe told Jenny. “We ride down that West Hollywood area where all the gay bars are — and I have a large gay fanbase — and I kept thinking, ‘It would be so cool if I had a bar right in here somewhere.’ And that space was empty and kind of raggedy-looking and torn down.”

NeNe says she called Vanderpump, who was already a successful restauranteur with her West Hollywood restaurants SUR and Villa Blanca, to get her advice on the space and opening up a bar.

“She said, ‘Oh darling, darling, it’s a piece of crap and they’re charging so much for it, darling,'” Leakes said. “She talked me off of it and then went and got it. … That’s so fucked up.”

PUMP opened in 2014 and was heavily featured on season 3 of LVP’s spinoff show Vanderpump Rules.

“Now when she sees me, she has this little dog that doesn’t even crawl and she’s like, ‘Hi NeNe,'” the RHOA star explained. “She just looks at me funny. … We’re gonna get Lisa Vanderpump. Lisa Rinna, I’m sorry I didn’t mean you, I meant Vander-lump.”

A few things… NeNe has never run a club, so it would most likely have failed. Plus, Lisa probably had her eye on the property already. And “Vander-lump?” Grow up, girl.
