Okay, so get this – it looks like Rob McElhenney, you know, from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Well, he’s apparently had enough of folks butchering his last name! He’s actually going and legally changing it to something way simpler: Rob Mac.
Yeah, you heard that right. Apparently, with all the cool stuff he’s doing now, like owning soccer teams and stuff internationally, people just can’t nail that “McElhenney.”

The Emmy winner mentioned in a May interview with Variety, alongside his wife and fellow Sunny star Kaitlin Olson, that he was considering a name change because people have difficulty pronouncing McElhenney.
“As our business and our storytelling is expanding into other regions of the world and other languages in which my name is even harder to pronounce, I’m just going by Rob Mac,” he said at the time, referencing his company More Better Industries’ global investments.

So, in true laid-back style, he’s just like, “Alright, fine, call me Mac.” It’s pretty funny because, let’s be real, most of us have probably been calling him Mac since way back when anyway, thanks to his character.
Looks like Rob’s just making it official and saving everyone a syllable or two. Good on ya, Mac! Or, uh, Rob Mac. Whatever you prefer, buddy!
