Brendan Paul, a 25-year-old man from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, who was arrested earlier this week on drug charges in Florida, has also been named in a case connected to rapper Sean โ€œDiddyโ€ Combs.

Paulโ€™s arrest Monday, which happened in Opa-Locka, Florida, came the same day authorities searched Combsโ€™ properties in Los Angeles and Miami in a bi-coastal raid that captured national attention. The Associated Press previously reported the raids are โ€œpart of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by federal authorities in New York.โ€

The arrest report from Miami-Dade police shows Paul was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. for allegedly being in possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana-laced candy.

โ€œThe defendant had the contraband inside of his personal travel bags, which he claimed prior to being searched,โ€ according to the arrest report. โ€œThe suspect cocaine was located and tested by agents.โ€

Miami court records indicate Paul posted bond. His next hearing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, at 9 a.m.

Police list Paulโ€™s address in the 16500 block of Heatherwood Lane in Chagrin Falls.

In the Combs lawsuit, several photographs of Paul are included in a 79-page document filed March 4 in the United States Federal Court Southern District of New York. One line in the complaint alleges Paul works as Combsโ€™ mule.

โ€œHe acquires, and distributes, Mr. Combs Drugs, and Guns,โ€ according to the document.
