Shia LaBeouf found himself at the center of a viral moment this week after he was filmed confronting a woman who has allegedly been stalking him for months.
The video, posted to Instagram on July 13, 2026 by an account identifying itself as belonging to a woman named Alyssa Couture, shows LaBeouf leaning into the driver’s-side window of a parked car in what appears to be a grocery store parking lot.
“God bless you, leave me alone!” LaBeouf tells the woman in the clip. “Hi, how are you? Hey, you’re scaring my dad. You’re scaring my people. You hear me? You know what I’m saying? God bless you. Leave me alone.”
The woman captioned her post, “Shia I was not hear this person’s house,” and the footage cuts off without showing what led up to the exchange or what happened after LaBeouf walked away.
According to multiple accounts circulating online, Couture has posted more than 5,000 videos to her Instagram page, the vast majority of which address LaBeouf directly and refer to him as her husband. Some social media users who have followed the account claim Couture believes the actor is connected to her late husband through an elaborate theory involving clones and coded messages.
Couture also runs a GoFundMe campaign in which she describes herself as disabled and says she is seeking financial support, writing that she has been living out of her car.
Hours after the video began circulating, Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office booking records showed that Alyssa Lee Couture, 40, was arrested Monday night on a misdemeanor stalking charge, though authorities have not officially confirmed LaBeouf as the alleged victim due to privacy policies.

The confrontation lands during an already turbulent stretch for LaBeouf. The actor, 39, was arrested during Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans on February 17 and charged with two counts of simple battery for allegedly punching a bar employee. He pleaded guilty in June to three counts of simple battery.
Neither LaBeouf nor his representatives have issued a statement addressing the viral confrontation.
