TMZ has learned that Zac Efron‘s pool mishap began with a dive in which he dove so deep that he hit the pool bottom and took water into his lungs.
People close to the event tell us Zac went swimming with friends in Ibiza during the wee hours of Saturday (Aug. 03, 2024) when he decided to dive. According to TMZ, Zac took in a lot of water when his chest hit the pool floor during the dive. He showed signs of trouble, and on-site security helped him get out of the water.
Our sources say Zac was briefly confused and was taken to a hospital as a safety measure. At the hospital, we’re told Zac had a chest x-ray to make sure the water was gone from his lungs. He was okay to leave within hours but stayed at the hospital because many photographers outside had heard he was there.
Zac has since posted a photo of himself exercising the next day, and TMZ’s sources say he went back to his usual routine after returning to his villa from the hospital. He reportedly dined out Sunday night (Aug. 04, 2024) in Ibiza and flew back to the United States (Aug. 05, 2024).
