So yes, I watched the Donald Trump Town Hall last night (October 15, 2020) because I’m a glutton for punishment.
Other than the woman who told Trump he had a nice smile, the other truly bizarre moment, or should I say moments, was the woman who throughout the event was constantly nodding her head and giving a thumbs-up behind the president.
According to The Miami Herald, Florida immigration attorney and Trump supporter Mayra Joli was seated behind the president during the town hall. She became associated with the hashtags “#noddingwoman” and “#noddinglady” on Twitter following Thursday’s event.
Joli, who wore a red face mask during the broadcast, earned the nickname “Nodding Lady” from many viewers — and even has her own Twitter parody account now. Joli shared a video of herself speaking to the president on her Facebook page after the town hall. “We have your back! You see, you see, you are the best,” she’s heard saying.
