Justin Baldoni has been terminated as a client by WME. According to The Hollywood Reporter, WME leadership made the decision on Saturday (Dec. 21, 2024) to sever ties with Baldoni, mainly in response to the sexual harassment complaint filed against the actor/director by his It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively on Friday (Dec. 20, 2024). Lively continues to maintain her representation with WME.

On Friday, Lively initiated legal action against Baldoni, claiming his conduct on the set of It Ends With Us โ€” where he served as star, director and producer โ€” resulted in โ€œsevere emotional distress.โ€ (Lively also executive produced the film and portrayed the main character Lily Bloom.)

The legal documents reveal that a meeting took place during production in January 2024 to address Livelyโ€™s concerns about the โ€œhostile work environmentโ€ on set. Various project personnel attended the meeting, including Baldoni and Livelyโ€™s spouse, Ryan Reynolds.

According to the legal filing, Livelyโ€™s meeting requirements included: โ€œno more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake, no more mention of Baldoniโ€™s alleged previous โ€˜pornography addiction,โ€™ no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crewโ€™s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blakeโ€™s weight, and no further mention of Blakeโ€™s dead father.โ€

Baldoniโ€™s attorney Bryan Freedman addressed Livelyโ€™s โ€œcompletely false, outrageous and intentionally salaciousโ€ claims, suggesting the actress filed suit to โ€œfix her negative reputationโ€ and โ€œrehash a narrativeโ€ about the filmโ€™s production.

Lively has countered by accusing Baldoniโ€™s team of deliberately tarnishing her reputation through an orchestrated โ€œastroturfingโ€ effort.

Freedman further claimed that Lively made โ€œmultiple demands and threatsโ€ during filming It Ends With Us, including โ€œthreatening to not show up to set, threatening to not promote the film, ultimately leading to its demise during release, if her demands were not met.โ€

In comments to The New York Times in December, Lively stated, โ€œI hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.โ€ The actress denied spreading negative information about Baldoni.
