First of all Zac Efron, how do you only have “vague memories” of watching Baywatch on TV?
We’re around the same age and that show was literally on TV every single day after school. You can’t tell me 9-year-old Zac didn’t obsessively watch sexy ladies in swimsuits running around the beach?
Well, that’s at least the story that Zac tried to go with last night when he popped by Late Night With Seth Meyers. And while he claims he doesn’t remember much, he is excited to take on the iconic show.
“It is the No. 1 show of all time, internationally,” Zac reminded viewers. To which Seth joked, “Because, in other countries, no one runs in slow motion. They’re like, ‘I’ve been running full speed my whole life.’” Well done Seth. So what can we expect from the movie? “We want to make it badass,” said Zac. And his co-star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will see to that. “That’s what Dwayne wants. He’s so cool…I’ve got to keep up with that guy.” Remember guys, make David Hasselhoff the bad guy.
But Baywatch wasn’t the only thing Zac and Seth talked about. Things really got hilarious when Seth pulled out the poem Zac’s younger brother wrote when he was in 6th grade. You remember Zac’s brother right? The crazy hot dude? Seth did a reading of the poem, and I swear, it’s even more hilarious when you read it out loud.
