The hit podcast Call Her Daddy, known for its candid talks about sex and dating, is making a big move. Host Alex Cooper, who has millions of loyal fans called the “Daddy Gang,” just inked a new multi-year deal with SiriusXM. This means the show is leaving Spotify as its exclusive home.

Back in 2021, Spotify reportedly paid around $60 million for a three-year exclusive deal with the podcast. Earlier this year, the show became available on all major audio platforms, showing Spotify's shift away from exclusive content.

While the exact terms of the SiriusXM deal weren't shared, reports suggest it's worth $125 million. When asked for comment, Cooper's team didn't respond right away, and both SiriusXM and Spotify chose not to comment.

This move is part of a trend where popular podcasts are leaving Spotify's exclusive lineup. Last month, Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert joined Amazon's Wondery network after three years with Spotify. In February, Spotify made a new deal with Joe Rogan‘s controversial show, but it's no longer exclusive to the platform.

Fans can still find Call Her Daddy and the Unwell Network on Spotify. However, SiriusXM will now control distribution, ads, events, and more for the show. This deal also covers other shows from Cooper's Unwell Audio Network. Starting next year, SiriusXM plans to offer exclusive content as part of the agreement.

Scott Greenstein, a top executive at SiriusXM, praised Cooper's “fearless, unfiltered approach, where no topic is off the table” and the loyal fanbase she's built. He added that the podcast “perfectly aligns with the content that SiriusXM subscribers have come to love and expect from us.”

Cooper, 29, first gained fame with the podcast in 2018 under Barstool Sports, alongside former co-host Sofia Franklyn. The show became popular for its open discussions about often taboo subjects.

After Franklyn left in 2020, Cooper continued solo, interviewing many celebrities and influencers. Her guests have included big names like Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton, Zayn, Madison Beer, and John Legend.

Cooper's star has continued to rise. In 2023, Spotify ranked “Call Her Daddy” as the second biggest podcast globally.

The podcast's move to SiriusXM marks another chapter in its success story, showing how the podcast landscape is constantly changing. As platforms compete for top talent, it's clear that shows like “Call Her Daddy” have become valuable assets in the entertainment world.

Cooper and her husband, Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment, continue to expand their talent roster. Unwell Network has signed influencers like Alix Earle, Madeline Argy, and Harry Jowsey. Recently, Cooper also added actor Owen Thiele to the lineup.

Cooper expressed gratitude to SiriusXM on Instagram Tuesday (Aug. 20, 2024), writing, “WE ARE AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE AND DOING IT EVEN BIGGER IN 2025.”

In the news release, she emphasized that the “Daddy Gang” remains a “top priority” for the podcast.

“The Daddy Gang wants more, so we're getting ready to give them more…I can't wait for this new chapter to begin.”
