Jeffree Star Cosmetics Gets Dropped By Morphie After Racism Allegations

Jeffree Star

Morphe has announced that it is cutting all ties with YouTube star and makeup wannabe mogul Jeffree Star.

Morphe announced in a Twitter statement on Friday, July 10 that the company cut ties with Jeffree and his products without detailed explanation.

Today weโ€™ve made the decision to cease all commercial activity related to Jeffree Star and affiliated products. We expect this to conclude within the coming weeks. As we look to the future, we will continue to share updates on what lies ahead for the Morphe brand.

While Starr himself has yet to comment, Jeffree Star Cosmetics issued the following statement:

โ€œWe are shocked and extremely saddened by the decision of our former retail partner Morphe Brushes on parting ways with our brand and Jeffree.โ€

โ€œOver the past 5 years weโ€™ve accomplished amazing things together and released iconic products. We are proud of everything weโ€™ve accomplished with them,โ€ the statement continued. โ€œWhatโ€™s next? We have an incredible remainder of 2020 planned and are excited to share our new products with you and our partners around the world. We know our customers will continue to create, insoire, and push the boundaries of our art. Love you all so much.โ€

The major decision comes following Tati Westbrookโ€˜s claim that Jeffree held stakes in Morphe (a claim that the brand has since denied), which she detailed in her recent video, titled โ€œBREAKING MY SILENCEโ€ฆ.โ€ In the 40-minute video (watch below) released on June 30, Tati alleged that Jeffree and Shane Dawson manipulated her into publishing her now-infamous โ€œBYE SISTERโ€ video about James Charles back in May 2019.

The drama goes on and on and on and on like most drama involving YouTube stars. You can read more about the history behind this mess, here.
