Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s fairy-tale romance has ended again. After winning hearts in the early 2000s and rekindling hope in love with their 2021 reunion, the couple has split once more.
Several sources told People that Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court, marking April 26, 2024, as the separation date. Lopez filed alone, without a lawyer, making her “technically self-represented.” Today, August 20, marks their second wedding anniversary in Georgia. TMZ broke the news first, with their sources saying the couple doesn’t have a prenup.

The pair married in 2022, first in Las Vegas, then in a grand, celebrity-filled event in Savannah, Georgia. These weddings inspired many brides-to-be’s Pinterest boards. But even the glamour and growth shown in This Is Me…Now couldn’t save their second shot at love.
The news comes after rumors of relationship troubles in April and May 2024. They hadn’t been seen together for over 40 days, leading fans to think they were apart for more than just work. At the time, Lopez was working on The Kiss of the Spider Woman and Affleck on The Accountant 2. The couple didn’t address the rumors, but fans found their lack of PDA and Affleck missing the 2024 Met Gala, which Lopez co-chaired, suspicious.

Lopez has been married four times, as she mentioned in her documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
“I’ve decided to share my story that I’ve never shared with anyone in the world,” she said. “I’ve been married four times now…I’m sure people watching from the outside were like ‘What is this girl’s problem?'”

Lopez was married to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. They have two children: Emme and Max. Before him, Lopez was married to dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. She was also briefly married to actor Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998.
Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner. They have three children: Fin, Violet, and Samuel.
