Weeks after Kelly Clarkson asked a judge to sign off on her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, The Blast reports Clarkson has been ordered to pay nearly $200,000 a month in temporary spousal and child support to her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock.
According to the court docs, Clarkson’s monthly income is listed as $1,583,617.
She is required to pay 44-year-old Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support. Plus, the docs also state that Clarkson must pay the talent manager $45,601 per month in child support to “benefit” their children, River, 7, and Remington, 5.
The divorce has yet to be finalized but the temporary support order will cover things until a settlement is reached.
Blackstock himself had been seeking $436,000 a month in support. He believed his ex should be on the hook for $301,000 a month in spousal support and $135,000 a month in child support.
Clarkson will also have to pay her ex $1.25 million to cover his legal fees.
The papers also noted that “the level of conflict between the parents has increased. The parties have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.”
Blackstock was granted approval to visit their children in Los Angeles, where Clarkson currently lives. Brandon was also approved to FaceTime with the children daily “at a mutually agreed upon time.”
The singer and talk show host filed for divorce from her husband in June 2020, after nearly seven years of marriage. She has since been granted primary custody of their two kids, 7-year-old River and 5-year-old Remington.
