Just hours before her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, was set to debut on July 4, 2025, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the Grammy-winning singer announced a last-minute postponement.
Clarkson cited vocal strain due to the intense preparations and rehearsals as the reason for the delay. She announced her intention to take the following weekend and week to rest her voice, aiming to open the Studio Sessions residency on July 11th, 2025.

Taking to social media, Clarkson expressed her devastation, stating, โWe have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,โ she wrote. โI am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrowโs opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for yโall and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.
As a result, both the Friday and Saturday night opening weekend shows have been called off.
โThe show is truly incredible,โ she continued. โThe musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I canโt wait to be back next weekend and show yโall what weโve been working on.โ

The residency, which was announced earlier this year, is scheduled to run for 18 dates through mid-November. This marks Clarksonโs return to the Las Vegas stage following successful engagements at Planet Hollywood in previous years.
Despite the initial disappointment of fans with tickets for the opening weekend, the swift communication and commitment to delivering a top-notch show were largely met with understanding and support.
