Popstar Sia is full of surprises! She adopted two sons earlier this year and now she is a grandmother as one of them just welcomed two kids.
Sia told Zane Loweโs Apple Music show on Tuesday, โMy youngest son just had two babies.โ
It doesnโt sound like the 44-year-old is quite ready for the title that comes along with grandkids, joking, โIโm just immediately horrified. No, Iโm cool. They call me Nana. Iโm trying to get them to call me Lovey, like Kris [Jenner]. Iโm like, โCall me Lovey.'โ

Sia shared her frustrations with the foster care system, saying, โIโm a little bit jaded now after investigating the foster system as much as I have done in the last year. Itโs failing us. Not in my experience, in my sonsโ experience. Theyโve been in 18 different locations in their 18 years.โ
The star said it hasnโt been easy, revealing, โStarted out as a pretty massive roller coaster. They told me one thing, I discovered another. But I just stayed really like a kind of Al-Anon ninja. I just kept really strong boundaries.โ

The singer added, โI would say, โYou could do this, or you could go back to where you came from,โ which is not a nice life. Itโs not a good life, and Iโd say, โIโm doing this because Iโm your mother. I love you. I have no other agenda other than the fact that I love you. I donโt want to see you in prison.'โ
The teens have since enrolled in trauma therapy, and she said, โOne recently came out, and heโs just blossoming and is the light of my life. I love him so much.โ

Her younger son is still struggling, and she said she could relate. โIt took me until I was 41, I think, to deal with my early developmental trauma. I donโt want that for them, but you canโt force anyone. Trauma has to come out when youโre in a safe environment, when youโre ready โ psychologically ready. So, Iโm just trying to do my best for them.โ
Sia became emotional as she spoke about race and privilege, saying, โIโm embarrassed that it took me to adopt two Black sons to really understand what they go through on a daily basis. There are things to do. We can actually act, and we can actually try and get justice for Breonna Taylor and Elijah McClain.โ

She continued, โIโm very scared for my children. I love them very much. Iโve only experienced white privilege and I know that now. I am fully aware of how much Iโve experienced white privilege, and now I have these two Black sons who tell me how it really is.โ
