If you thought OnlyFans was just for adult content, you’re missing out on lots of laughs. LMAOF is a new comedy series now streaming on  OnlyFans TV (OFTV), OnlyFans’ free, safe-for-work streaming service. LMAOF showcases some of the hottest comics from across the country. One of these comics is Brandi Denise.

Brandi Denise Boyd went from being a social worker to a standup comedian, actor, and writer. She was recently selected as one of Just for Laughs New Faces of Comedy. Among her TV appearances, Brandi had a series regular role on the BET show Games People Play and can be seen recurring on Starz’ Power and Power Book II: Ghost. Brandi is an alumnus of Chicago’s Second City Improv Program and a Conservatory Student, Annoyance theater alumni and the I.O. Writing for a TV Program. Brandi‘s standup comedy is often described as honest, witty, and refreshing with huge bursts of energy. In addition to appearing on LMAOF, you can catch her regularly performing at clubs across the country or on the Sirius XM comedy station.

We had a chance to chat with this talented performer about her comedy influences, working for OnlyFans and went in-depth with the Socialite Seven in our exclusive interview.

Brandi Denise

How did you get your start in comedy?

I guess the first real start for me was when I went with some friends to a comedy show and I thought what the comedians were doing looked easy. It’s not. But it looked like it at the time. My friends thought I was funny and encouraged me to give it a try, so I did.

How long have you been performing?

It’s been 12 years.

How would you describe your comedic style?

I think my comedy is just really relatable to people. I give a lot of energy too.

What is your joke writing process like?

I don’t really have a specific process, it’s very much just on the fly like when I’m on stage, I’ll write jokes in my head as I go. I don’t really sit down and write things out.

Who were your influences?

I don’t really have a lot of comedy influences, but a couple of my favorite comedians are Adam Sandler and Wanda Sykes.

How do you deal with hecklers?

I typically just shut them down; I have a commanding presence on stage though, so I don’t get too many hecklers.

How did you get affiliated with OFTV?

They reached out to me about being part of their LMAOF comedy series, but I had heard of them already. I was really excited, and everyone has been really nice and professional.

What do you hope to achieve with your comedy?

At the end of the day, I'm an entertainer. I want to have a good time and do my job.

What’s next for you?

I’m featured in OFTV’s comedy series LMAOF: Los Angeles which is very exciting. I also have a mini-tour coming up, so I’ll be going to 5-6 cities over the next month or two.

Who would you love to work with?

Will Packer, Seth Rogen, Adam Sandler and Regina King.

What are three things you can’t live without?

I’d say probably a comedy stage, my family and friends (my tribe), and maybe the gym. I like working out. Being on stage most nights, I want to look my best. When you look good, you feel good.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Negative people. I will leave a place if I’m around someone who is just always negative.

If you could wake up tomorrow with a talent you don’t already possess or a superpower, what would you want?

The ability to see people’s true intentions.

If they made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?

Me… or Zendaya. She can be Brandi Denise, I love her.

What overused word or phrase would you love to eliminate forever?

Period.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

I was once told by a producer that I have the skills to be successful, just have to make sure the mind and spirit is right too and that’s stuck with me.

Brandi is featured on the upcoming episode of LMAOF: Los Angeles, which airs this August. You can catch the other episodes of LMAOF now on OFTV. Follow Brandi on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and on her website.
