If you had any doubts that Eddie Redmayne is one of the most charming and wonderful actors in Hollywood right now, then allow his latest interview with Vogue to put your mind at ease.
In addition to looking super handsome, Eddie also gives us a taste of that wonderful personality of his andโas the writer calls itโhis โlovely manners.โ
So what are some things we learned about Eddie?
He started off as a model, although he didnโt get very far. โThe most success I think I had was doing a knitting magazine that was sent to grannies, but after my huge, heady days in the knitting books, I left it behind.โ
And weโre glad he did because now we get to watch him act. Most recently, The Theory of Everything has been getting him serious Oscar buzz. In the film, Eddie plays Stephen Hawking from a bright university student to an aged scientist talking through his famous computer. He internalized it allโwith the help of visits to ALS patients and Hawking himself.
Probably the cutest story in the piece is about his fiancรฉe, and how he tried to figure out her ring size. โTheyโve been together a couple of years, though he couldnโt find any way to check her ring size before he proposedโother than waiting until โthe middle of the night, taking her hand, and putting her finger next to my finger.โ โ
Iโm really not doing this profile proper justice. Read it all yourself. If youโre not already, youโll be in love with Eddie Redmayne by the end of it.
