It could happen to anyone. Joe Jonas almost got himself in some very big trouble on the set of Game of Thrones when he tried to kiss a woman who wasn’t his wife.

Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, told Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery all about the case of mistaken identity.

“On Game of Thrones I had a photo double that people would do double takes at because she looked so much like me it was insane,” Turner said.

“Even Joe (Jonas) went up to her at one point and tried to give her a kiss and he was like, ‘Oh, sorry, sorry it’s not Sophie, wrong one!'”

Just to clarify, a stunt double, as you probably know, does stunts for the actor so they don’t endanger themselves.

A photo double, on the other hand, is supposed to look freakishly like the actor so they can legit be in scenes for them when the character is, for example, in the background of a shot.

Turner said they didn’t run into the same issue with her X-Men: Dark Phoenix stunt double.

“They don’t really look like me. First of all, they are much fitter, have much more muscle and just better looking aesthetically in general,” she said with a laugh.
