Fellow Travelers star Jonathan Bailey appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers Thursday and openly discussed the more intimate aspects of his Emmy-nominated role!
Bailey received his first Emmy nomination for playing Tim Laughlin in Fellow Travelers this year. During Thursday's (Aug. 15, 2024) Late Night with Seth Meyers episode, the actor talked about selecting a prop and the amusing way the political drama's costume team used it on his final filming day. “Did you have a hand in the decision-making?” Host Seth Meyers inquired. Bailey chuckled and replied, “Um, just one hand.”
Meyers showed a wholly censored photo of what appeared to be blurred prosthetic penises from one of Bailey's first days on set. “They've all got their different personalities,” Bailey said of the props. “When you're approaching character, you think emotionally, cerebrally, and then you have to really make a big choice.”
Meyers playfully asked, “Is that what you did? You made the big choice?”
“No, no, no!” Bailey responded as the host laughed. “I think it's only fair — I believe in representation for everyone.”
